Welcome to the

San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society

Founded in 1959

The Workshop “Genealogy Programs with Emphasis on WikiTree.com,” led by Scott Atkinson, has been postponed..

Upcoming:
Dr. Annette Graham's DNA Consult Hours:   10:00 AM to Noon Saturdays November 14, December 12, or January 9.

Because many of our members and instructors have full holiday schedules, there will be no more classes or workshops in 2026.

Join the 2027 Education Committee. If you’d like to help shape next year’s programs, email education@txsaghs.org. Please include any scheduling dos and don’ts so we can plan meetings around you. Going forward, we’ll meet in person or by Zoom, whichever you prefer. Our goal is to schedule all classes, workshops, and general-meeting speakers for the entire year in advance.

Share your knowledge. If you’d like to teach or present on genealogy or history, on becoming an accredited genealogist, or on joining a lineage society such as SAR, DAR, the Sons and Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Mayflower Society, the Daughters/Sons of the Confederacy, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Sons of Union Veterans, or the Colonial Dames, please email education@txsaghs.org and tell us what interests you.

Special Interest Groups are coming back. We plan to restart our SIGs, including:

  • Military
  • Computer-oriented
  • Cemetery Preservation
  • French
  • Irish
  • Jewish
  • Catholic
  • Scottish
  • And more

If you’d like to join or lead a SIG, you guessed it: email education@txsaghs.org.

Until then, happy holidays!
